The latest all original diverse jazz disc. This one explores all the swing, funk, latin and beyond styles that make this group so fun to hear, but it also ventures into new territory with new instrumentation, a more piano heavy vibe, and some compositional avenues not taken before.    Of course, the great tradition Helix has of bringing in fabulous guest artists continues with another appearance from guitar master Mike Miller, and also some wonderful piano work from jazz veteran Mitchel Forman. (Mahavishnu, Wayne Shorter, Gary Burton & Pat Metheny.....etc.)  The songs are even more melodic and patient in their developement and make for a great listen to all fans.
